Control Tower UI
Release notes for the Control Tower web user interface.
26.11.0
-
The site IP-pool tab is now an Ingress tab, shown for every site rather than only for one with pool allocation. Besides the pool allocation it lists the DHCP leases and the forwarded ports of the site, which are no longer repeated per interface under the host's network interfaces.
-
A udev pattern and a GPU label pattern can now be tested against a host from the host's udev and GPU modals, showing what the pattern matches while it is being written
-
The topic names offered when creating a query topic for the Control Tower are now the topics actually present there, instead of a hard-coded list. The topics hidden elsewhere are hidden here as well, and a name can still be typed by hand.
-
Fixed issue where the image state of an init container was not shown, so a failing init container download looked like a healthy service
-
Fixed issue where showing an old version of an application showed the latest version instead
-
Fixed issue where the token policy dropdown of an approle closed as soon as it was opened, making it impossible to set a policy
-
Fixed issue where the entry for switching tenant login was shown in menus outside the tenant view
-
Other minor bug fixes and improvements
26.10.1
-
When creating a tenant, the root user can now be given a one-time set-password link instead of a password, so the password never passes through the administrator. This is the default, with a link validity of 1 hour, 1 day or 7 days.
-
The modal shown after a tenant is created now presents the set-password link and its expiry rather than a password, has a section for installing
supctl, and its summary pastes with formatting into mail and chat. Saving the user and password in a vault is now opt-in, and "Copy username" no longer copies the root token. -
The site event history now shows the reason for an event in the Details column
-
Other minor bug fixes and improvements
26.10.0
-
Added a set-password page for one-time password links, so a user invited or reset by an administrator can set their own password in the UI
-
Fixed issue where the link from a service or container view to the logs pane did not work
-
The UI now gives feedback when the API denies a request: a denied change shows a banner, a denied read no longer spins forever, and the denials of the session can be reviewed from the top menu. Previously such a denial passed silently.
